Culture
Sintra and its cultural landscape have been on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1995. In the 19th century, Sintra had a considerable influence on the development of European Romantic architecture with the exemplary Pena Palace and Monserrate. But the cultural offer is not only limited to these two monuments. We have to include in the monuments to visit, the Moorish Castle, Quinta da Regaleira, the Biester Palace, the Chalet of the Countess of Edla, the Capuchins Convent, Penina and the Sintra Palace.
We extend our cultural offer to the magnificent Mafra Palace with its Library, considered one of the most beautiful libraries in Europe and the World.
